Preclinical Models for Oncology Research

Our advanced preclinical platforms support oncology drug discovery and development by enabling the assessment of therapeutic efficacy, cytotoxicity, and tumor biology.

With comprehensive in vitro, in vivo, and histological services, we deliver tailored solutions to accelerate your cancer research.

In Vitro Tumor Models

We offer extensive capabilities for tumor cell line testing, ideal for early-stage drug evaluation, including:

  • Cell viability assays to assess compound effectiveness on cancer cells.
  • IC50 determination to quantify drug potency.
  • Cytotoxicity testing to evaluate therapeutic selectivity and safety.

Our assays cover a wide range of cancer cell lines, enabling personalized study designs aligned with your therapeutic targets. Here below is a non exhaustive list we may cover, either with routine protocols or with models to be developped.

Especially 2 cell lines are used in our labs:

  • OSRGa (rat osteosarcoma)
  • MDA-MB-231 (human mammary carcinoma)

Here is a list of interesting cell lines we could work on (requesting special development) : Human osteosarcoma (OS1544, MG63, SaOS2, U2OS), Human Ewing sarcoma (A-673, TC-71, SK-ES-1, RD-ES,  CADO-ES, Human chondrosarcoma (BCSCH03), Mouse osteosarcoma (POS-1)…

In Vivo Tumor Implantation Models

We also use these cell lines for in-vivo evaluation of compound in rat or mice (both on immunodeficient or immunocompetent strains). Our expertise in rodent tumor implantation models includes:

  • Subcutaneous tumor models for easy monitoring of tumor growth and response to treatment.
  • Paratibial and intratibial implantation models to study bone tumor interactions, metastatic progression, and therapeutic responses.

These models provide translational insights, enabling you to assess efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of novel oncology agents in a controlled environment.

Here below is a non exhaustive list we can cover: Osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, Mammary carcinom, Bone metastases, Pulmonary metastasis.

Comprehensive Histological Analysis

We specialize in histopathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) services, offering:

  • Biopsies processing with resin or paraffin embedding, or working on frozen samples.
  • Staining techniques, including special histological stains for tissue characterization.
  • Immunomarkers to detect and quantify specific tumor-associated proteins.
  • Advanced histomorphometric analyses for quantitative evaluation of tumor architecture, angiogenesis, and cell proliferation.
  • Detailed histopathological evaluation to support mechanism-of-action studies.
